End of the First day of work

End of the 2nd day-if you can't tell we made it to the beginning of the bump out.
I just want to say how proud I am of how hard my kids have worked on this! They were such troopers out there in the heat of the day for 2 solid days and several evenings after school too! Kate was a work horse carrying brick by brick over to the work area. She made many castles and chairs and other sculptures too. She was also the official water bottle fetcher and filler. The boys were busy also shuffling blocks and handing them off to me to put down. We had to load and unload the block from pallets on our driveway into the truck and then back off again up at the house. Thank you kids for how well you have served your family! You are such a blessing to me and added much fun to the hours of work.The patio is not quite finished yet. We have laid the block down all the way to the other section of the house, but now Rick gets to cut all of the edge pieces around the perimeter where whole blocks wouldn't fit-that might take some time.
Many other happenings in the last two weeks- field trips, a birthday, parties and such. When I get a chance again I will try to post more pictures. In the mean time I gotta get to weeding my gardens. Some of the weeds are as tall as trees!!
