Abstract Autumn

I am not necessarily a fan of modern art. I don't really understand it. Shapes, colors or nothing at all seemingly randomly thrown together and labeled "art". But I have to admit, I really like to take abstract photos sometimes. I did just that the other day while on an autumn walk. Actually I was scouting out a place to do some pictures for someone. I couldn't stop taking pictures of the patterns of color I found on the pond and stream there. These remind me a bit of what some might consider "modern art" but I really like the way they turned out! Well, if nothing else they are a new take on photos of autumn colors!

Okay, so this last one isn't so abstract, but I liked it anyway, so here it is.

For Sandi

Last Monday I had the great honor to hold, play with and take some pictures of baby Theia! She is so precious and seemed to love the camera. I am posting some of my favorite pics from that day so Sandi can see them. Hope you enjoy them!

I love the tenderness between Mommy and baby.
I think she looks like her Daddy in this picture.

I like this one even though her hand partially covers her face, but I can just hear her little giggle when I look at this. She just loves her thumb!

Sweet little face.

This last one is one of my favorites. I love her little hands in this.

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Autumn

Everywhere you go....

We went to Middlecreek but didn't stay very long because both Danny and Kate sank into a mud puddle and wanted to go home and get changed!

Definately looks better if you can click on this and enlarge it. This is just before sunset and there are splashes of bright red leaves among the green.
More from Saturday's sunset.

I think this is poison ivy but it sure is pretty when it glows in the sun!

Just for Fun

I took this through our front door this morning as Danny and Kate headed out to meet the bus. Just thought it was cute and different so I thought I'd share.
